October 1, 2015 dawned and we realized it was now time to get really serious about getting the Crusader ready for this years adventure. We had been slowly taking care of things since we arrived home in May but now time was short.
When we first arrived home I took everything out we realized we did not need and added a couple things we wished we had taken. Plus, I re-arranged some of the cupboards more to my liking. Then the list making started; I am a firm believer in lists.
Now it was time to start packing and checking things off of the lists. With our launch date set for October 14th, as I said it was time to get serious. Well we almost made it we left October 15th which meant a longer day driving then initially planned the first day but not bad for someone who believes in lists but has a hard time always staying on task. (Yes, I admit it.)

Today we start our "2015/2016 Adventure". At 9:37pm Tom backed out of our driveway and off we went. Well as far as The Family Inn for breakfast. We had not planned on stopping but they had parking so Tom pulled over and in we went. In the end it was a good thing because just after we ordered he remember something we needed to go back for. So we ended up pulling out of Escanaba at 10:44pm. Our odometer read 34,008 and gas was $2.39 a gallon.

Before we continued south we made a short stop at Bronner's Christmas Store. They claim to be the World's Largest Christmas Store. Honestly after shopping there I think most people would agree with me if you cannot find the Christmas Decoration you are looking for here it probably does not exist.
So after buying several ornaments, I was a year behind, for grandchildren and children we are on our way once again.
Our destination today is the Riverview RV and Marina in Algonac, MI, we stayed here in May and though it is small and the sites are tight we do like the friendly atmosphere. After we are set up we drove over to our son and family's home. The plan is to stay here for 10 days and then continue South. We had not seen them since June and we were looking forward to this time. We also planned on having our two grandsons each have their own night to spend at the 5th wheel with us and it happened.

What do they say about the best laid plans? Well we are still here and the plan is to be on the road early tomorrow morning and hopefully be stopping tomorrow night somewhere South and West of here in Ohio.

We will be missing these three. |
Lets be honest as excited as we are to be off on this adventure we will be missing all of our kids and grandkids, we love you all more than we can say.
