Today we took a ride south towards Palm Canyon Road. First we wanted to take a right off of US-95 and check out a parking spot. Deb and Riley, On a long and lonesome highway, found this spot and generously shared the discovery with us last year and we spent a couple of very pleasant days there with them. The hope had been to enjoy it again this year with friends but as we are all more then aware a pandemic got in the way. Looking forward to next year. Sadly the Saguaro has lost one of its arms. Tom and I are hoping to spend a couple of days out there in the quiet the spot holds.

Heading next to Palm Canyon Road this Labyrinth was the goal.
I am hoping to go back and walk it sometime in the next couple
of weeks. There was a RV parked right next to it today
and that makes it less then relaxing atmosphere
A Labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools. A labyrinth’s route is unicursal; that is, it has only a single path. Unlike a maze, a labyrinth is designed for ease of navigation, and it is impossible to get lost within one. Though getting lost in thought is possible.

Definitely not has many rigs at any of them
as we have seen in past years.
We have seen a steady stream of rigs coming in.
Just not as many as in the past.
We will be back that way next week.
It will be interesting to see what the traffic is like.
Turning into the entrance it looks like they are getting set up.
We have read there will be things in place to keep people
safe including one way aisles in the tent along with hand
sanitizer stations available throughout. I would guess masks
will be on that list. We did see quite a few RV's in the lot in
front of the tent.
Turning east on Kuehn there is a lot of open space.
No Bad Boys Cafe this year.
The west side of Kuehn looks like it always does.

As you can see Silly Al's is open and busy.
Interesting side note: the fast food restaurants are only open
for drive through. I now realize I did not really pay attention
to what other restaurants were open.
The southside of the corner at 95 and Main Street is
completely empty. We heard La Mesa RV did not have
enough inventory and decided not to come this year.
Another rumor is they sold the property.
There is one other RV dealership at the east end of Main
Street and that makes only two, that we saw, including the
one by the big tent.
Back at Roadrunner the sun was setting.
There was a lovely afterglow and I could not resist
putting the camera on Photo Illustration and take this shot.
The sky lighting up with color
is always a nice gift at the end of the day.

This morning we moved over to the 3 Dreamers RV Park in Brenda, AZ. The Stinger "B' needs a good cleaning and the wash needs to be done.

It is a nice Park it seems clean and well taken care of. Not a
lot of amenities but there is a laundromat and the price with
Passport America is $16 plus tax and electricity.
We will be staying the five days allowed at that rate.

Not a lot to say about the last couple of days. We have been busy cleaning and doing wash; Tom made a trip over to the laundromat and I have been keeping our washer in here busy. The layer of dust is gone and there is now room for a new layer next week when we head back out to the desert.
Memories
One year and a day ago we found out fellow blogger, RV'er, and friend had passed. Tom and I like so many others learned a lot reading George's blog as we ventured out into this lifestyle. We enjoyed a couple of weeks in 2018 and 2019 parked in the same neighborhood with several Canadian friends which included George and Suzie. Enjoying Happy Hours, hearing about their adventures, and getting advice. Advice never forced just given.
I mentioned that on Wednesday this past week we took a ride into the LTVA's near Quartzsite. La Posa South was the last one we rode into; one thing I wanted to visit was the Ocotillo we had been parked by in 2019. When writing the blog today this seemed like the right thing to add.

it is grey. Yet in my mind still beautiful.
