After driving 568 miles across Texas, the last 121 on Interstate 30, we crossed the border into Arkansas. After a brief stop at the Welcome center we backtracked on US 67 and connected to US 82 and started to make our way across Arkansas. We ended our day at the Walmart in El Dorado, AK after 228 miles.
(Side note: it does not matter how many times Tom has cleaned the windshield it is still dirty within minutes of getting back on the road. So today's pictures are again through a dirty front windshield. I have tried to remove as many spots as I can but apologize for the ones left behind.)

| Tom's nickname in high school was Duke. (My girlfriend had a dog named Duke when we were growing up and I could never call him that.) |

| As we got closer to the Arkansas border I realized I had not seen one very large flag as we made our way across Texas. Then in the distance there it was peeking above the trees. |

| We are now on US-82 and there is more traffic then we expected but it is still not as busy as the interstate. |

| We had heard several train whistles but could not see a train then there was a slight opening in the trees and this one was sitting there. |

| Fred's Super Dollar. I just really liked the name. We passed two of these today. I wonder if it is a chain. |

| One big difference driving on a Arkansas US Highway versus a Texas one is the speed limit. In Arkansas it is 55 in Texas it was 75. |

| Even the cows want out of the sun this group was closely gathered under the trees. |

| Again they are huddle under the tree except for the one lone tough guy. |

| This was a moment but Tom said, we had plenty of room. I closed my eyes, not sure how that was going to help, but we do still have a roof on the Stinger "B". |

| The last picture I took today was this tree. I saw it has we turned a corner and I just liked it. |
Not long after this Hazel, you remember Hazel the voice of our Google Maps, took us off on to State Highway 225, she is directing us to Walmart, there are no pictures because I was trying to keep us on the road by leaning left. Lets just say it was very narrow with no shoulder and you did not want to go off the road. After about 2 miles we received instructions to turn right. There was no turning the Stinger "B" right on to this road. Luckily we could turn left and there was a gas station that Tom was able to drive us through to get us back on to the road we had just come down. Two lovely miles back and we were back on US-82. Hazel re-calculated and did get us here on a somewhat better route. When we leave this morning the directions are somewhat different from those that brought us here and do sound better. We were a little disappointed in her choice of directions today but, since, she very seldom lets us down we have decided to forgive her...this time.
All and all it was a good day and we are looking forward to today's ride.
