Happy Birthday to our Grandson, Nate!
The time between the bottom right picture and the top left went by way to fast. |

Looking out the window in the morning the sky was filled with grey clouds. This did not change throughout the day. We went to Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Yuma then brunch at the Black Bear Diner. After running a couple of errands we headed home. It was not a day for sitting out though I did take a walk and the pictures below when we got back home before going inside.
It would be nice if everyday was sunny and warm but that is not always the case. Some days are chilly and grey. It is what it is and that does not mean it is a bad day it just means it is cloudy and grey.

We had decided a couple of days ago to make one last trip to Los Algodones while staying out here near Ogilby Road. Even though it did not look like it was going to be the best weather day after talking with Deb we decided to just follow through with our plans. So at 10:30AM our "Little Black Limo" picked up Deb and Riley and off we went. By the looks of the parking lot when we arrived quite a few people decided the same thing. Even though it never really got warm the sun did come out and we ended up having a wonderful time. We had a nice lunch, we made a stop at El Paraiso for an adult beverage, plus in between those two stops I found the Tiger Eye ring I was looking for; Deb did a little shopping, too...lol. Then to make it an even better visit the line leaving was short. I did not take any pictures but if you check out Deb's blog, On a long and lonesome highway... she did.
We had a nice sunset and I took several pictures and decided to share the ones below.
The sun just coming out from behind a cloud above the Igloo. |
The sun shining down on our neighborhood. |
I never get tired of looking west |
and watching the sun |
make its final exit from our day. Today it was behind the clouds. |
A slight pink afterglow |
captured by the clouds still around. |
Then looking back to the west just a soft golden glow filled the sky. |
Just like all the other days we have spent out here this last day did not disappoint and the sunset was a beautiful way to end the day.
Happy Birthday Nate! Such a handsome young man! Sounds like a great time in Mexico, you'll have to show a picture of your new ring!
ReplyDeleteWe did have fun in Mexico. I am not sure a picture is the way to go. You need to hook up that Mansion and come south for a visit...lol
DeleteNice pictures of your grandson Nate...they sure grow fast. Handsome Boy !

DeleteHappy Birthday, Nate. Crazy how time flies.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is crazy how time flies and seems to be picking up speed every year.
DeleteHappy Birthday Nate!!
ReplyDeleteYes I did a little shopping too. I'm also glad we went, it was the right decision. I like the Little Black Limo service, it's very convenient. LOL
The clouds and shadows were very eye catching, not lots of show but enough to get the attention. Hopefully the weather ahead warms up and the winds go away.
Deb
I kept hoping for some big white fluffy ones but I guess it just was not meant to be this stay. The ones we did have, like you said were enough to get our attention.
