Last day...[ :( ]...we enjoyed our time here...[ :) ]
We were slow getting ready to leave this morning. Two reasons: as always we are reluctant to leave and second we only had about 70 miles before we would be at the Westwind RV & Golf Resort our home for three days.
The sun just peeking up over the mountains. (The little oval is some sort of reflection happening with my phone...not sure why...since I cleaned the lens.) |
Shadows looking down the pad we are parked on. |
Tom and I between the Stinger B and the Jeep. |
The last views as we pull out and turn south on AZ 95. |
A lot of RVer's on the move. (Just a few we saw today.) It is amazing how many different types of RV's are out there. |
The beautiful yellow flowers lining the sides of AZ 95. |
I missed this picture, of the entrance, when we took a ride to check out the area a couple of weeks ago. |
Some of the views. |
Green fields just before we reached Yuma...such a wonderful bright green. |
We reached our destination and after getting set up we took a ride over to see some friends who just purchased a new, to them, winter place a little east of Yuma. Looking forward to spending time with them over the next couple of days.

We spent most of today catching up on "chores".
Tom spent a good part of the day cleaning out the inside of the Jeep. It was pretty dusty, after our rides "off the beaten path", and the floor mats had lots of sand and little rocks in the in the crevices. The outside is still in pretty bad shape but they do not allow the washing of vehicles in this park, even for a fee, so tomorrow we will be looking for a car wash.
I spent the afternoon catching up on wash while doing other miscellaneous inside stuff.
Then we headed over to the Cheer's Lounge here at the park for Happy Hour. When we checked in they gave us a coupon for two free drinks and free is free we were not about to let them go to waste.
That was pretty much our day with some relaxing in between.

We hope you had a day filled with wonderful moments.
If you have time to leave a comment, we would love to hear from you.
Still getting those great photos of the desert.
ReplyDeleteEveryone must have been monitoring the Weather and that's why the RVs were out in force on Wednesday.
Hope you are sitting still for a few more days. We're getting hit with 50 MPH gusts as I attempt to type this.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
On our way west in 2015 we spent a couple of weeks in New Mexico and what we remember the most was the wind. We will be slowly starting the trek east Sunday morning.
DeleteIt is sometimes hard to move on but often it is to better things. We hope you enjoy your stay It is funny how on our long 8 - 10 hour travel days that we notice hardly see any rv's after 4:30. They've all found spots to stop. Even so, at the Walmart in Marshall 2 more pulled in within an hour after us. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways dislike leaving places we have enjoyed but like you said often there are better things down the road or at least just as special.
DeleteThose are long days and except for the first year we have been able to avoid them...we have noticed, when we are parked somewhere and have gone to a Walmart, there are a lot of RV's already parked for the night around 1 - 2 o'clock.
Yuma is my favorite place, but it must be a little warmer there now. Enjoy your time there.
ReplyDeleteIt has mostly been in the 80's while we have been here so not to bad. We have enjoyed our time...very low key. Plus, we had a chance to visit some friends in this area. We are hoping to be back in this area in December so just checking things out.
