Roadrunner BLM

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

As I mentioned in yesterday's post because of the wind advisory we decided to wait and head south to Yuma on Wednesday. Our time at La Posa South was up and not wanting to move this morning in the wind we did so yesterday evening.  We had never stayed at Roadrunner before but after only staying here a short time we definitely give it a thumbs up. I was a little worried about how close we would be to AZ 95 but that does not seem to be an issue at all. Moving yesterday was a good decision by the time Tom pulled in yesterday evening the wind, though not real strong yet, had picked up and by the time we were ready for bed we could feel the Singer B moving. The wind was with us all day but it was still a nice day with a blue sky and mountain views. We relaxed and enjoyed our last day parked here in the desert near Quartzsite.

Tom decided to take a walk to the other side of the wash and
take a couple of pictures of our last desert site for this year.

I took a walk and snapped some pictures of our view.

One last set of the tiny little flowers making their way
through the rocks.

The *star* of our site.
It may be a tiny Ocotillo
but it is still beautiful.

The sun setting on our last night parked in the desert near Quartzsite. I took several pictures and narrowed it down to these two.

Hope you had a relaxing day.
If you can take a moment to comment we would love to hear from you.

  1. Better to be sitting pretty when those high winds hit than looking like a stunt driver trying to stay on the road.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  2. We have stayed put more then once because of high winds. We have also been on the road more then once when they have come up with no place to pull over. Prefer to be "sitting pretty". Stay safe.
