Shopping in Yuma (A Look Back)

Thursday, December 11, 2025

Yesterday before heading south on US-95 to Yuma and the stores we stopped at the Snowbird Cafe for coffee to go. They roast it there themselves, in small batches, and they do sell the coffee beans. We will be going back to make a purchase. They do serve food though we have not ate there. They, also, have a very nice selection of ice cream if you are so inclined to eat that sort of thing.

After picking up our coffee we where on our way. Below are some of the pictures I took along the way and then on the way back. We always enjoy this ride, and have made it several times over the last 12 years or so, the scenery is beautiful. My pictures do not do it justice but they pretty much speak for themselves.

This is, always has been, and always will be
my favorite view on this ride going south.

The ocotillos are still wearing their little green leaves.

I cannot believe I caught that picture on the left.

I do enjoy seeing the ocotillos along the way.

Going by the road to the Yuma Proving grounds looks so bare.

Then just before Yuma we start seeing the green fields.

Our first stop was a quick one at the Arizona Marketplace.
This is the only shopping picture.
How true is that billboard.

After the marketplace, a couple of errands, lunch at In-N-Out Burger, stops at several stores we are headed back home.

The Tethered Aerostat Blimp was flying over head.

The mountains with all their ruggedness are beautiful
as the sun is setting behind us.

This was the last picture I took. Not long after this the sun
slipped behind the mountains and the daylight was fading.

It was a long day and we were happy to finally see the Stinger "B" waiting patiently for us to return.

A Look Back at our family and life during the time I was not blogging.

The last time I blogged, before I went on blogging vacation, we were in Wisconsin on our way to see our nephew, Brad, marry Jenni. The wedding took place on September 28, 2024. The ceremony was held outside and they could not have asked for a prettier fall day.

I did not take the pictures below the credit goes to the photographer. She did a great job of capturing the moments.

Brad escorting his mom, my sister, on the left and Jenni's mom to their seats.
Sadly Jenni's mom died just recently.

Jenni and her dad.

Isn't this a great picture?

The wedding party. Brad's sister, our niece, is first on left.

The remembrance table I can see his dad on the left in orange.

This is my favorite picture of the day.

They have now happily celebrated their First Anniversary. We love them both and wish them many years of living and laughing together.

If you have enjoyed the pictures I have put out there
or the words I have added that makes me smile.
If you have time to leave a comment they are always special to read.
No matter what I am glad you stopped by!
