Today and Going Back to the Beginning of April

Tuesday, April 20, 2021

We are still in Hanna, Indiana and it has been snowing on and off since around 10 o'clock this morning. Nothing is sticking so far but it is snow just the same. The plan is to pull up stakes tomorrow and head into Lower Michigan.

The top right is our view out the front window. Close to the
trees is an area for tenters. The middle picture shows about
half the pond area, mostly seasonal rigs parked around it.
They do have catch and release fishing in the pond.

Yesterday we spent time looking at things to make some changes inside the Stinger "B". Plans are moving forward and hopefully by this fall it will all come together. For now we are in the planning stage.

Below are some pictures from our ride yesterday. It was a cloudy rainy day but this is a beautiful area so it was still enjoyable even when the rain started. This area has a large Amish population and we saw bugies parked in driveways, beautiful horses in fields, and lots of clothes drying in the wind. Reminded me that Monday was wash day growing up. I remember hanging clothes outside even after my mom got a clothes dryer.

We saw several farmers plowing fields with horses.

Passing by two of several yards filled with dandelions.
The bottom picture is of daffodils.

You know you are in Amish country when you are following
a horse and buggy. The bottom picture I was not fast enough
to focus but we watched the first one pass the second one.

The rest of this blog contains pictures of our travels between Deming and Roswell, New Mexico. Yes, it is going back to the beginning of the month but this blog is about our journey and these pictures and the few words I will add are part of the journey we want to remember.

Leaving 81 Palms RV Park in Deming, New Mexico.

We are on NM-26 which will bring us to Hatch, NM.

Going through Hatch the Chili Capitol of the World.
We have gone through here several times and
never stopped the "plan" is to do so next time.
Bottom right,  Rio Grande River.

We are now on I-25 heading North.

Another stop on our list.
We had planned on stopping on our way west in October but
the New Mexico State Parks
were only open to state residents at the time.

When we cam through here in October they were still working
on the roadway. All new roadway is nice.

We had planned on a short day today
and that changed as we drove past this sign.

Of course, the one across the way
for southbond traffic was open.

Not much we could do at this point so we kept going.

We have turned onto US-380 at San Antonio, NM
and once more driven over the Rio Grande River.

We pulled over to eat lunch and read this.
Interesting information about how
Conrad Hilton got his start.

Just really liked this cloud.

I decided to switch to my zoom lens.

Another great cloud, in my opinion.

We went by several of these small picnic areas
but Tom opted to keep going.
He is driving so it is his choice to make.

Every turn, every up and down the scenery just kept coming.

It was a beautiful ride.

I always think at these moments,
hope the highway is on the otherside...lol

I am going to end today's post about this ride here.
I will finish in the next post.
This was my favorite picture of the day.

April is World Autism Month, dedicated to increasing awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder.

According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the number of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is now 1 in 54 and impacts families across all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.

We are glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.
