Days are Going By

Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Hello, just checking in to see what is going on in the blogging world and to let you know we are still around.

We have been seeing blue skies which is encouraging and we even had some temperatures in the high 70's.

A beautiful blue sky this past
Saturday.

Saturday, our daughter had us over for dinner. She made
chicken and steak fajitas, her first attempt, and it was quite
a success. It was a delicious meal and getting
to take leftovers home was a definite plus.

Interesting cloud formation and color after the sun had set on Saturday evening. We were in the parking lot at Family Video when I noticed the sky off to the west. We have decided not to hook up to cable this summer and we still are not sure we want to do the whole satellite/dish thing. We have had pretty good luck with our antennae in the motorhome when we are on the road, so movie rentals it is for the time being.

Took a quick ride out past the street lights
and caught the end of the light.

Sunday brought a new day with wind and later on rain.  Lots and lots of rain and wind. We had two really good downpours.

Took this picture down at the beach looking across
the bay towards the Stonington Peninsula.

Last night's sunset lit up the sky. I went out on our front porch in time to catch some of the color.

The time seems to be going by quickly and we are not getting as much done as quickly as we would like. Tom had bronchitis this past week so that did slow things down a bit. He is back to feeling better so tomorrow we will back at it and we will see what the next few weeks bring.

Hope everyone reading this is having a wonderful June and spending time with those they love.

  1. Nice to hear from you again and glad all is going well, we have had a satellite dish on a tripod for years,I am so used to setting if up now don't even think about it, just for the morning news and and a show that Suzie likes in the evening .

    1. There is a satellite on top of the Stinger B. We have pretty much ruled out investing in a monthly service right now but that could change when football season starts...lol

  2. Love your sky pictures, especially last evening with the pink hues. Beautiful!
We love our satellite dish, must admit that we are kind of addicted to a few evening shows.
Glad you are getting some nicer days, mid 70's is perfect!

    1. Thanks, I could not believe when I looked out and saw all the pink. If you aim the camera just right, mainly straight up...:), you miss all the city stuff. The Stinger B did come with a satellite dish on the top we are just not sure it is worth the monthly investment for us. But I have learned to never say never because things could change.

  3. Hope Tom is much better real soon. We wish we had those 70 degree days. Good luck with the antenna decision.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    1. Thanks, he is actually feeling pretty good today...no nap...:) The rain returned today but we have been lucky south of us there is a chance of some flooding on the Menominee River. I could be happy with high 70's all summer even low 80'a. Much higher and the humidity that comes with it just makes life miserable. So we will be happy with how things are.
