Today we took a ride over to Buckeye, AZ to pick up groceries. After five wonderful days with full hookups the wash is done, a layer of dust is gone from inside the Stinger "B" and even the Jeep is a shiny black again. It is time to move back into the desert.
On I-10 heading east towards Buckeye, AZ
Saddle Mountain in the distance.
There is definitely dust in the air.
As we drove along today we were talking and realized
the last time we drove along here was in 2019.
The views are as beautiful as ever
but the road is worse then we remembered.
Going by Tonopah we can see Palo Verde Nuclear
Generating Station sending steam up.
Lots of traffic going east and west.
Stopped at a light this sticker was on a 5th Wheel in
front of us. We need to find one of these.
Once the groceries were picked up we headed back on I-10.
Just past Tonopah we to took the exit for Salome Road.
We have taken this road several times and have seen these
signs along the way. What we have not seen is the cattle.
I just liked the look of this tree.
That day we went in today we just stopped for a picture.
The clouds are covering the blue sky but are beautiful.
Back on US-60 I was watching for this sign. Tom turned
off so I could click the picture.
Once home we brought the groceries in and once they were put away we both started taking care of a few things that need to get done before we start the engine and move on.

Today was moving day and we opened the shades to grey skies and stepped out to cool temperatures. We either are getting better at this moving thing or it was because we had not really set up like we usually would for a stay because we were ready to pull out before check out. I believe it was the latter. Nothing against this park because we would stay here again. Our purpose for staying this time was to get wash caught up, things cleaned, and pick up groceries for the next couple of weeks. We knew we would not spend a lot of time just sitting and I think that was why we set up just what we needed to, to be comfortable. Hooked up and the final bill taken care of we pulled out of the 3 Dreamers RV Park in Brenda, Arizona.
FYI: there are raindrops on the windshield that several of today's pictures were taken through.
Looking straight ahead as we drive through the parks entrance.
Heading down the road to US-60.
They do have an unusual sign out front.
We have turned west and there does look like
the blue sky is trying to make an appearance.
We are now on I-10 and it really looks like there may be
hope of lighter skies ahead.
Ahead we can see Quartzsite and the tent off on the left.
This is one of those views of the highway
ahead that always fascinates me.
Closer and cropped I think you can see what I mean.
It looks like the highway goes up and drops off in the distance.
It truly seems strange to see this corner so empty.
Looking left stopped at the light on Kuehn Street.
Then looking right things look pretty busy.
Heading South on US-95 towards Roadrunner BLM.
We are settled in to a spot for the next week or so.
The clouds around us
as the sun sets
on our day.
It looks like there is a pink light inside the cloud.
With the last of the sunlight gone behind the mountains so ended what had been a good day. We moved without incident and we found what we would consider a decent spot to spend the next week or so.
We are glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.
