The sun rising on the last day of 2020

The clouds casting shadows on the
Cargo Muchacho Mountains.

By the time I remember to look the sun had set and
left a soft glow on this last day of 2020.

We spent the afternoon and early evening chatting with friends. Cathy and Shane who we recently met and Doug and Yuma took a ride over for a visit. It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours in the desert we have come to love. We moved a couple of times to stay in the sun but the wind brought a chill to the air so we moved inside. Doug and Yuma headed home shortly after but will be joining the neighborhood today so we will be seeing more of them in 2021.  It will be nice to have them nearby again. We continued chatting with Cathy and Shane and enjoyed some delicious shrimp they brought over to share. What a nice couple from our area of the country just a little further east in Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It has been so much fun getting to know them and we are so glad they decided to  park nearby earlier in the week. One of the perks of this lifestyle continues to be all the wonderful people we are meeting along the way. Now I just need to remember to take a picture the next time we get together.

We had hoped to end the day with a campfire but the wind had a different idea. We listened to it as we said goodbye to 2020 and as I write this it is still clearly making a statement this morning. Fingers crossed it will calm down by this evening and we will be able to enjoy the beginning of a New Year sitting around around a campfire with friends.

As this New Year unfolds we wish each of you a
year filled with joy and love. Stay safe.

We are so glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.
