Happy Birthday in Heaven Mom!

Wednesday, March 23, 2022

I do not know how old she was in the picture below but today would have been Our Mother's 94th Birthday! I thought of her a lot today. Almost 22 years have gone by since she left us and I still miss her more then words can express.

Happy 94th Birthday in Heaven Mom!!!
Marcella Margaret (Des Jardin) Richer

Mr. or Mrs. Hummingbird only made a brief stop
this morning and refused to pose.

I read in Nancy's Blog this morning she would be heading out tomorrow morning so I contacted her and we made a plan to stop by for a hug and a short visit. After a tour of her beautiful home on wheels, an introduction to Jonathan, along with getting to see the cutie Cooper, we sat outside for a brief chat. All to quickly it was time for Tom and I to take off as we both had hair appointments but we are glad we had this opportunity to visit, and get a hug, one last time this year. A picture would have been nice but no there is not one even though I had my phone with me. When we sat down in the salon to wait our turn I turned to Tom and said, I forgot to take a picture.  I am thinking I need the words, take a picture, tattooed on my hand because I hardly ever remember to do so.

More February Memories in our next blog.

We are glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

  1. Happy Birthday to your mom. Our parents were about the same age being born in the mid 20's. It is amazing to think of the things they saw in their lives.

  2. I think the older we get the more we think about our parents and their lives. Your mom looks lovely and she shared my birthday so we had something in common.

  4. Beautiful picture of your mom. I love her name. My maternal grandmother was Marcelena....a cousin Marcel....another cousin Marcella. I think we have a few more variations of the name. It was nice you got to see Nancy and her family one more time. Elva

  5. Great picture of your mom! While I am sad when I forget to take a picture I think it just means you were having too much fun and that is more important than a picture :-)
