Turning Right Into the Yuma Proving Ground

Thursday, March 16, 2017

(Clicking on the pictures will open them larger in a new window.)

We have been talking about moving down to the Imperial Dam Area LTVA sometime next week. Never having been there we decided to take a ride and check it out. We wanted to know if it would be a place we would enjoy calling home for a few days or longer.

We also took a Jeep ride while we were there. The pictures below are from the ride.

After checking out the parking possibilities in the LTVA we decided to ride over and check out the Mittry Lake BLM area. Comparing both areas, for us, this would be the place to park and call home for awhile.

The wildflowers are so beautiful along the edge of the highway.

Two Ocotillos near where we are calling home right now.
This would be my favorite desert plant. I never get tired of seeing them.

More little wild flowers peeking out between the rocks of the desert floor.

The sun slipping behind the mountains ending another wonderful
day, for us, parked out in the desert.

         Slow down.
            Smile.
                             Enjoy it."
