Appointment Made

January 2, 2019

Another challenge met I typed in the year right the first time...lol

No pictures today. I was going to say not that exciting of a day here. We cleaned and did wash.
I know for sure in my younger days especially in my teens when my mom would say we are going to clean that was never an exciting thing to hear. Especially when she would say we are going to do walls because what she meant was you are going to wash walls and I will be telling you what you missed. Today, though, it was exciting to clean and get caught up on wash. As I write this two more loads and everything we own will be clean...:) I know, I know a lot of you think the washer/dryer is a waste of space but I love that I can do wash right here in our home.

The really, really exciting news yesterday was when Tom called RV Lifestyles in Quartzsite they have refrigerators in stock that will fit in our space. The really, really, really good news they can put one this Saturday. Everywhere else Tom called couldn't get us in until the end of this month.  I never thought I would be this happy about a new appliance. This having everything in coolers got old really fast. Luckily, if you want to look at the bright side, it was cold and keeping the coolers in the back of the Jeep kept the ice solid and everything nice and cold. We still did lose food because I will only keep things so long after it thaws but it is what it is and we cannot change it.

So we will leave here as planned on Friday and head towards Quartzsite and Dome Rock for the night. That way we will be just around the corner in the morning to drop the Stinger "B" off to have the new fridge put in. Then off to Plomosa Rd to spend time with new friends we have yet to meet in person.

I would rate January 2nd a pretty good day all around. It would be nice if it would get a little warmer but this is way better then the temperatures we were in last week. Tom just confirmed my thought.

We are on our way to lunch and a nice visit with friends.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
We are glad you stopped in. If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

  1. Wonderful! Or should I quote Lawrence Welk "wunnafull, wunnafull".
I see you bouncing around, Tigger is my favourite in the Pooh world. :)
Safe travels tomorrow, you were so close to us over the last couple of days! Good luck on Saturday!

  2. It wasn't that long ago we had a chat out on Plomosa Road. There is something about those dusty places that draws one back. I am actually jealous this year of all of you going to Quartzite, knowing we will not be there. Enjoy your stay there and good luck with the fridge.

  4. Glad you'll be able to get a new frig. I know when we travel in the cab over we have to use ice chests as we've put more than enough $$ into the little frig it has and then it ends up failing. So I feel your pain. Sounds like you're having a good time. Enjoy your new friends!

    1. Nothing like spending money to have something fail...:( That is why, considering the age of the fridge, we decided to go new. Not that we enjoyed spending that money...lol

  5. I think it was an exciting day. Nothing makes a person feel better than having a big job accomplished. You've managed to do a number of those in just one day.
I think the washer dryer choice is an individual thing and what works for you is best for you.
Glad you're getting your fridge replaced and quickly. I'll bet the coolers got old fast, walking outside to get something out of the 'fridge' would get all even faster.
    Safe travels.
