Bloggerfest and The Sky

Saturday, January 26, 2019

The sun was shinning when we climbed out of bed this morning. Though we could hear the wind.
Tom made the coffee, I posted our blog, and we enjoyed our morning coffee as the day began to unfold.

After breakfast I put together some cheese roll ups to bring over to The Bloggerfest this afternoon. This was the 5th one and sadly there were not that many people in attendance. There were a couple of new faces so it was nice to spend some time chatting with them. Plus, it was nice catching up with a couple of bloggers we had met before. Paula, who is the keeper of the signs and arranged the Ramada, said she will arrange the Ramada for next year, put up the signs, and we will see what happens. If Tom and I are in the area we will attend but in life we have found somethings are not meant to continue. So, I guess next year will tell the tale. Regardless of what happens in the future, we enjoyed the three we were able to attend and connecting with the people we did. We will continue to enjoy reading their blogs and will be adding a few new ones to the list. Time spent with nice people is never wasted.

After the group broke up we headed home and moved our chairs into the circle in front of Pat and Rob's 5th wheel to enjoy a lively Happy Hour.  So lively that the sun had slipped behind the mountains before we broke up.

We did have some pretty color tonight after the sunset and as always I took several pictures and below are the ones I kept for my memory book and to share.

The last one before we both headed inside and shut the door.

It was a good day. Since, our family and friends back in the "frozen north" have been experiencing temperatures quite a bit below zero I really do not think we can complain but it was a little chilly in the wind today. Not complaining just stating a fact. I will not rub it in by saying the temperature. What I will say is the sun was shining and the sky was a beautiful blue.

Looking forward to what today brings. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Glad you took the time to stop by.
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

    1. Neither do I. It is always changing and for those who love it, and we do, it is always beautiful.

  2. The Bloggerfest was fun, people trickled in and out it was nice to meet a few other bloggers and followers that knew us. The year I hosted it was widely advertised on blogs (not so much anymore) and had 54 people in all.
The whole day was fun ending with wonderful Happy Hour and sunset.

    1. We did enjoy the Bloggerfest and meeting a couple of new people was a plus. I was just sad to see the low attendance. Next year may be a totally different story. If we are here Tom and I plan on attending.
Happy Hour is always a "Happy" time.

    1. We were here that year and it would be nice to have that happen again.
I take a lot of pictures hoping for several good ones. The beauty of the sunsets certainly help the picture taker...lol

  4. I'm not alone then thinking sometimes good things must come to an end. We'll see what next year brings. I heard it voiced by more than a few of us.
It was a great day we had and a nice long happy hour to boot!

    1. No you are not alone yet I am hoping next year brings a revival, it would be nice if it would continue. As I recall that second year it was on a lot of blog sidebars.

  5. Unless it gets better publicized next year could be the last one. If it were more of a social gathering like around a campfire or pot-luck to draw people in. We might not be in the area next year.
    Be Safe!

    It's about time.

  6. Nice to see everyone together again!
I wish we were at Bloggerfest this year but we're a few states away!. Which I suppose is why the attendance varies. Our lifestyle has folks wandering all over and to meet up in the same place at the same time every year may be a bit too much to expect.
Hope we make it next year!

    1. I am sure you are right about the reason attendance varies we are all on the move. Hope you two make it next year, also.

  7. We missed you all this year and will hopefully be at the next Bloggerfest but I loved I loved your comment "but in life we have found somethings are not meant to continue", and it is so true! We missed this year because we were on a holiday out of the country, if we are in the area next year we will try to be there.

    1. I think all of us agree it is nice to get together and if we are in the area we will be there. Yet life takes us in different directions and it is not always possible. The people not there are missed but we all know through their blog are off having a wonderful time. Paula, and she referred to herself as the keeper of the signs, will get it set up next year and as long as people show up she said she will continue to do so.
