When we got back to the RV park I made breakfast and we decided to take a ride, which I will share in the next post with way to many pictures, and I completely forgot to publish this post. One of those "senior moments".

As I start to write this I am thinking the start to our day is kind of boring but it is how we enjoy starting the day so there is not a lot to say but we enjoyed our coffee and eventually talked about what we were going to do today. The best part of the morning routine for me is that Tom makes the coffee and hands it to me where ever I am sitting. The second part is we actually do not do a lot of talking right away which eases us into the day very quietly which I love.
The first thing Tom decided to do was go and get his haircut. Which he really needed to do. No pictures but it does look nice.
So from the pictures below I am guessing you can guess the UFO Museum was part of the day. Well it was part of Tom's at least. We both went and checked it out last year and though it was fun and I enjoyed the visit one time was enough for me. Besides I knew he would enjoy the visit a lot more without someone "waiting" for him to finish reading all the articles and information on display.
My day was basically spent with my feet up not doing much of anything. I truly needed that type of day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
He took one picture outside |
and one inside. |
Then on the way back he saw this alien in front of the Dunkin Donuts. He said, their donuts must be out of this world. I know a little cheezy but I still love him. |
Tonight's sunset as the sun sinks behind the RV's across the way. Not quite the same as behind the mountains but it colored the clouds a lovely golden yellow. |
Then the last of the light turned the clouds around us a lovely rose color. |
It was a good day at the Duchaine's we both enjoyed doing exactly what we wanted to do. We ended our day sitting outside talking about the days ahead and our route home. We have a couple of routes in mind and we will probably let the weather determine which one we take.
We are glad you stopped by and hope you had a good day.
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.
So glad everything turned out okay ... and for such a good price :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, so were we...:)
DeleteAre you still in Roswell NM?
ReplyDeleteYes, at the Spring River RV park until Monday morning.
DeleteMust have missed the post of your problems but glad everything worked out well. The Pass between Las Cruces and Alamogordo puts most engines to the test. If you remember we spent Three Weeks there getting repaired. Today we used that same pass again at a slower speed. Sounds like we are following you because we are in Roswell as I write this.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy the adventures.
It's about time.
Yes, we did remember your extended stay in Alamogordo. When we read about the pass it sounded like it was a harder push going west and after taking it last Sunday it seemed like going down was a lot longer then going up coming from Las Cruces.
DeleteA small world once again that you and Rick and Kathy are in the same place! Nice that you got to do what you wanted and so did Tom! Glad the Stinger B is ok and that they looked at it and didn't charge you! Oh gosh the Dunkin Donuts is too cute and so was Tom's comment :) He is just too cute! Sunset pics are beautiful! Enjoy your day, I see you're headed for Carlsbad Caverns..one of my most favorite places!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a small world. After all the "fun" they had in this area on their way west it was a nice surprise to find out they were here. It was more then a good feeling to find out the Stinger "B" was okay and to not charge us was very nice of the guy. It is amazing to read how many RVer's run in to people that are so generous and helpful. We experienced this twice this year. There are a lot of good people out there.
DeleteSometimes once is enough and I'm with you, I wouldn't need to go back to the museum again. I'm not big on reading tooo much, just the hilights. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your day, feet up etc. Love the Friendly Martian at the Dunkin' Donuts.
I'm so glad the Stinger B is happy again. :)
Tom probably could go there every time we come this way and enjoy it and I am happy for him. It is nice that we do not have to do everything together...lol
DeleteGetting caught up on my reading. Glad the Stinger B has no major issues. Always nice to have some one check things to calm our worries and fears and for no charge is a bonus. I've avoided that route for a few reasons and now I'm more convinced it's the right choice.
ReplyDeleteI think you both had a wonderful day, spending it the way you wanted. Folks come to read about you and Tom and like everyone else we all have days that aren't edge our seat, nail biters, but just good days for our body, mind and soul. Those are the best days in my opinion.
I agree some of our best days are the laid back ones. As you know, this lifestyle needs to be lived as that a lifestyle. It cannot be one long constant 2 week vacation or we would all burn out. We were glad the Stinger"B" was okay.
