We have ended the day at a Love's in Strafford, MO a little farther then we planned and we are going to need earplugs to sleep. It was a beautiful day filled with blue skies and sunshine, In fact the sun was so warm it actually got hot sitting in our seats this afternoon.
Lots of traffic today everyone is on the move as it gets closer and closer to Christmas.
About an hour after we left Wenona this morning we could see the sun
trying to make an appearance.
Off to our left it was peeking ever so slightly through the clouds.
Then all we could see ahead was blue sky.
A few hours later we could see the arch in the distance.
Then we were crossing the Mississippi River into Missouri.
Some pictures of the road ahead and a water tower. This one is for you George.
Even if you are not a Bourbon drinker I thought you would get a kick out of it.
More pictures of the road ahead and another water tower.
One last picture of the road ahead not long after this we stopped for the night.
When I saw this I laughed out loud.
Hope it brings a smile to your face.
Today was a long day but a good one. We hope you can say the same.
We are glad you stopped by and if you decide to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.
Glad you are making good time but don't wear yourselves out.ReplyDelete
Had a Blowout replaced in Bourbon last spring.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
We will be slowing down for the rest of the journey. Looking ahead it looks like we are pass the snow.Delete
Head for the heat. Winter is on your tail. Glad you are making good time. Welcome to the south.ReplyDelete
Funny but it really was on Sunday. Tom drove in snow for about 5 minutes.Delete
You are making great time moving right along. A water tower full of Bourbon? Wow !!ReplyDelete
Keep travelling safe.
Thanks guys. Yes, that would be something.Delete
A long day but a great one..you're moving on! Makes you wonder who comes up with the town names..sitting around drinking bourbon and deciding what a great name for their town?! ...Love the red, white and blue water tower! The chickens are too cute!ReplyDelete
It does make you wonder.Delete
I laughed out loud when I saw those chickens. I remember those days when the kids were small running here, there, and everywhere trying to get things done. Funny but there are moments I miss those days...LOL
I hope you're out of snow range and into warmer weather. It's good to see you on the road again.ReplyDelete
Thank you we are glad to be moving. Looking ahead there should be no snow in our future.Delete
Head south! :) You are making good time and we're glad the roads and skies are clear for you.ReplyDelete
It is all that toe crossing...Thanks...LOLDelete
You are making excellent time and soon will be in the south away from the threat of winter. The cold will soon be a memory. Safe travels!!!ReplyDelete
Thanks, we are looking forward to the cold being just a memory.Delete
So nice to see you guys are on the road and headed the right direction!! Good to see you didn't have to drive through any snow.ReplyDelete
Lots of great memories in your house.
