A Long but Good Day

December 22, 2018

We have ended the day at a Love's in Strafford, MO a little farther then we planned and we are going to need earplugs to sleep. It was a beautiful day filled with blue skies and sunshine, In fact the sun was so warm it actually got hot sitting in our seats this afternoon.

Lots of traffic today everyone is on the move as it gets closer and closer to Christmas.

About an hour after we left Wenona this morning we could see the sun
trying to make an appearance.

Off to our left it was peeking ever so slightly through the clouds.

Then all we could see ahead was blue sky.

A few hours later we could see the arch in the distance.

Then we were crossing the Mississippi River into Missouri.

Some pictures of the road ahead and a water tower. This one is for you George.
Even if you are not a Bourbon drinker I thought you would get a kick out of it.

More pictures of the road ahead and another water tower.

One last picture of the road ahead not long after this we stopped for the night.

When I saw this I laughed out loud.
Hope it brings a smile to your face.

Today was a long day but a good one. We hope you can say the same.
We are glad you stopped by and if you decide to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

    1. It does make you wonder.
I laughed out loud when I saw those chickens. I remember those days when the kids were small running here, there, and everywhere trying to get things done. Funny but there are moments I miss those days...LOL
