We decided to take a ride around the area and check out a couple of RV Parks nearby. We hope to come back this way and explore the history of the Civil War that is plentiful in this area.
Stepping out our door this little circle of sunshine was looking up at me. Yes, I truly do think dandelions are beautiful |
We took a quick ride downtown on Thursday I just forgot to put them in the blog.
Courthouse |
Friday's ride took us on back roads.
So many of the churches in the southern states have steeples. |
We went by some obvious wet areas. |
We did find one small park that we would consider staying at when we come back this way. It was a quiet ride down some narrow roads and enjoyable couple of hours.

We paid the bill at Pro-Fleet Truck & Trailer Repair today and the Stinger "B" is presently parked across the parking lot. We will be on our way in the morning. Tom and I will have a few more things to say about this business in the next blog. For now I will just say we feel totally fairly treated by the owner of this business. No one who has ever done work on any of our vehicle we have owned has ever followed us home to make sure everything was working properly and to ask how the vehicle was driving. Today this gentleman did just this.
So glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a message we would enjoy hearing from you.
Great pictures as always.
ReplyDeleteMost times repair shops wish you safe travels as you roll out the door.
Might consider staying further south at the moment with all the Storms blowing through this region.
Be Safe and Enjoy your travels.
It's about time.
Thank you, Rick.
DeleteWe are in the process of making a decision about our travels.
The owner of this shop went beyond wishing us safe travels as we pulled out of his door. He even called the nest morning.
Great that the "Stinger Bee" is fixed and you can be on your way. Safe and healthy travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bill.
DeleteDandelions and clovers. I think of you whenever I see the bright little flowers. We don't have any YET.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you were treated well at the repair shop, that is so important.
I love your quote/picture of the day. I'm curious to know what the reason is for this deadly virus. I guess it is making us live with less, some of us, but the separation from family and friends? I don't know. Absence makes the heart fonder?
Take care you two. Stay strong.
Spring in coming your way, at least that is what I see in your pictures, and soon those little yellow flowers will be blooming on the ridge...:)
DeleteIt was nice to find the repair shop we did. Someone was certainly taking care of us.
I am not understanding the why of what is going on either. Especially the deaths and then the separation from family and friends. I have always believed though that things do happen for a reason even if we never have the answer. You and Bill take care, also.
Love it when you find a good business. Glad you will be on your way and not have to worry about making it. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy. We were lucky to land in this place when we did.
DeleteSo today you're on your way, travel safely and hopefully no more issues!! Wondering if we'll get our flood of dandelions this year. Pretty brown around here now :( That was nice of the owner to follow you home, sure shows a caring business. :) Heard this am that Jonesboro, Arkansas had a tornado last night. Hope the weather is good for you two.
ReplyDeleteWell we sort of went on our way. More in the next post...lol
DeleteWe are hoping no more issues either. He certainly seems to care about his customers. He even called in the morning.
I know the weather got scary Saturday night. Watching the weather on TV we heard about Jonesboro, Arkansas and we could see nasty stuff all around us. Take care.
Finally caught up. Looks like some interesting places you and Tom have visited. I think that may be a route we'd consider in the future, you make it look and sound very inviting and interesting.
ReplyDeleteGlad the Stinger B is once again at the top of her game. It's always nice to feel you've been used well and fairly. Makes me smile for a few days afterward.
Safe travels, stay healthy.
The Stinger "B" has a new bit of energy these days...:) and I know what you mean it makes us feel good to feel like we were taken care of and not taken advantage of. There is a lot of history in this area and we will definitely be back in the future. I keep thinking I bet the Natchez Trace is beautiful in the fall. Take care.
DeleteYour mention of the Civil War forced me to comment. I normally stop along the Natchez Trace in the Spring on my return home, to explore. As you said there is a great deal of Civil War History in the area. About 60 miles south of Tupelo is the town of Columbus. This has to be one of the prettiest towns in the spring. The town because it was a hospital town during the war has quite a few antebellum mansions left. The gardens of some of these places are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter, for the information about Columbus. It just went in the list of things to see in this area of the country. We are truly looking forward to coming back this way again when things are open. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
DeleteHello fellow Michiganders! For a moment I thought you were my brother Tom and his wife Deb! Be well and stay safe!!
ReplyDeleteWell hello to you, also. That is interesting that your brother is Tom and his wife is Deb. We have good friends back in the UP, he is from downstate, his name is Tom and his wife's name is Deb...LOL You be safe, also. We know the area you are in is a hot spot our son and his family live in St. Clair Shores. Stay healthy.
DeleteSafe travels today. Cornith looks like a beautiful southern town from the pictures. Glad you got the Stinger B fixed and you're on your way home.
ReplyDeleteYes, well not exactly on our way to far but we are in the Stinger "B" so we are home. This area really has a lot of Civil War History and we are looking forward to coming back when things are open.
DeleteDoesn't it feel good to be treated right by someone who cares. It makes you want to go out and hug the whole world. NO NO. 6 ft distancing please. lol. Glad your up and running again.
ReplyDeleteIt really does feel good not to feel like we were taken advantage of because we were literally stuck here. We know you know the feeling.
DeleteThank you, we are glad to be up and running, also.
Thanks, Deb, for sharing your photos and adventures with all of us. Drive safely and stay healthy! Happy Easter to both of you!
