Up before the sun this morning I opened the shades and as the sky began to lighten the clouds decided to stay in place and not let the sun shine its brightness through or share its warmth. Walking around in our "yard" for a few minutes I could feel a dampness in the air. Fingers crossed as the day progresses the clouds will part and let the sun shine through.
A cloudy start to the day in our neighborhood. The views are still beautiful. |

I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned today so we were in the Jeep moving down the road around 7:40AM this morning. I had mentioned to Deb and Riley we were going to Los Algodones last week and asked if they would like to join us and we were glad when they answered, yes! It was a fun day from the moment we took off until we arrived back home.
I had my teeth cleaned and I am done for this year...yay...😊 We walked up and down a few streets browsing booths while enjoying the banter with the merchants. (I honestly do enjoying it.) I was in and out of a few optical places checking out glass frames as we walked. Stopping for lunch, which may have included an adult beverage, the food was good and the fun continued. It was just a day to be enjoyed and we did just that. Even the line leaving after lunch was short. Deb, On a long and lonesome highway...., actually took pictures and describes our day wonderfully.
Our ride home included some rain. It had stopped before we pulled back into the neighborhood and then as we were standing chatting with Sue and Lorne it caught up to us.
I did take this picture of the "guns" as we went by the road to the US Army Yuma Proving Grounds. |
Then as we were going by Yuma on the way home I caught this one. Always like seeing the flag flying here. |
Once we were inside our home last night we heard the pitter/patter of rain drops on the roof on and off throughout the evening. Infact, we went to bed with that sound on the roof. It was another day we enjoyed spending with friends. Life is good.
Another great Algodones day! C u all later.

ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a great day.
DeleteWe always find Algodones more enjoyable earlier in the winter because it is not as busy. Glad you had a fun day :-)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was nice not waiting in line for several hours to get back across the border
