We Moved to the Roadrunner BLM

Monday, November 6, 2023

After several half hearted, we should move on "----day", today we packed up the Stinger "B" and moved about 14 miles further South. Each time we said it we meant it, sort of, but we liked the spot and it is not that much fun packing up once you get settled in. It does not make a difference if we are going hundreds of miles or ten the process is the same. So yesterday we made the final decision to move, it became a sure thing when Tom started packing up our outdoor patio around me...lol We are happy in this new spot and I am guessing, like so many other places we have planted our wheels, is one we will fall in love with and again when it is time to move we will probably procrastinate a couple of times about making the actual move. Most RVer's that live this lifestyle will tell you, it is hard to explain, you get this feeling/urge to move on and then you know the time is right.

Sitting waiting for the sun to make an appearance

I looked up and saw this sliver of the moon.

Then slowly the sun brought its light and heat to our day.

The shadows start to stretch across the desert.
Yes, that is me...lol

The temperature today reached 92 degrees so the sun did a
good job, I would say to good of a job, bringing the heat.

You cannot see it in the picture but as the sun comes up and the
shadows stretch out some of the rocks on the floor
become sparkles of light.

The sun sent a sunbeam under the motorhome
across the desert floor.

Then a toast to Tom as he finished picking up our patio area.
Soon though he came for my chair so it was time
to go in and finish packing up the inside/

The Stinger "B" has left her old home

and moved into her new home in the desert.

The sun went down on our day before I could get out the
door and focus the camera.

Today's move went smoothly. Since we were only going about 14 or so miles there was no rush. Tom stopped to top off our propane then made a stop at LaPosa South to empty our tanks and fill our fresh water tank. I left him on his own while he was adding fresh water and headed over to Roadrunner to see if the place we were hoping to park our home at was still available and it was😎. I called Tom to let him know, he had just left LaPosa South, then I headed up to the entrance so he could follow me back in.

Today was a great day even with moving. Our propane is full along with our freshwater tank, plus, our grey and black tanks are empty. The space we were hoping to park in was open and we had a lovely warm evening to sit out and enjoy the quiet of the desert as the darkness descended around us.

We are glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

    1. Well, if making you a little jealous gets you moving this way it is a good thing.

  4. Ah, there is nothing like old home dirt, unless maybe it is new this year, old home dirt. Lol. Nice job Tom. I can see it in my mind, you coming for Deb’s chair and her not quite ready to give it up. That exasperated look on both face! Lol. We hope to see you soon.

    1. That is so true. Sometimes we are leaving and I think we will never find a spot we enjoyed as much as this one and then we are parked in our new favorite spot...😎
