Enjoying Our Days

Sunday, December 22, 2019

After posting yesterday's blog we took off to makes some purchases to finish restocking our refrigerator. When we got back home the first thing on the agenda, after putting everything away, was to do some decorating outside. Which is mostly Tom's area of fun. I did contribute a couple of things; I guess I need to admit it was mostly suggestions. It now looks very festive outside. I am thinking we will have to take a walk around the park in the next couple of nights as we can see several RV's nicely decorated.

Happy Hour at Patsy and Bill's.
Left to Right: Bill,  Patsy, JoAnne, Bob, Tom's chair, Deb,
Kim, Ken, Dave and Cheryl.
Always fun to spend a couple of hours with this group.
The only time the conversations stop is when
someone says I need to get a picture.

When we left the Stinger "B" this morning to go to Mass at St. Thomas Indian Mission the sun was not up and I chose not to take my camera. That was a mistake. The sky around the edges was a lovely deep red color and the camera on my phone really did not do the color justice at all.

On I-8 heading east this morning.

Walking up the steps to the church I turned and the sky
to the north had turned a bright orange/red.

We have been to this church several times over the years and
I know I have posted several pictures.  So today there are just
a couple.  Top: the back altar, bottom left: the Advent Wreath,
bottom right: a pretty stained glass window by the doors.

Around 10 we headed over to Los Algodenes for a little window shopping and lunch with Kim and Ken. (The rest of the group already had other plans for the day as it was a last minute decision.) It was a fun few hours. The food was good, the Margaritas very good, and the company wonderful.
There may have been one small purchase made.

I even remembered to take a picture.

Happy Hour was at the Stinger "B" tonight.
Left to right: Cheryl, Dave, Bill, Patsy, Kim, Ken,
Tom and my chair. JoAnne and Bob were otherwise occupied
and could not join us. Missed you two.

Our days here are unfolding nicely especially now that our home is clean and decorated for the season. We are enjoying the company and are glad we decided to spend part of the Holiday Season with this group.

Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday Season
that last throughout the coming year!

We are glad you stopped by.
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

Merry Christmas!

    1. It really is a pretty little mission church. We have read that photographers actually go up there specifically to take sunrise and sunset pictures.
