There is a New Refrigerator in the Stinger "B"

Wednesday,  December 18, 2019

We were up before the sun this morning but were busy getting things out of the way for the removal of the old refrigerator and the installation of the new one. Following Tom and the Stinger "B" out of our spot at Dome Rock BLM I noticed the sun was just peeking above the mountains across the way.

Sunrise

I caught up to Tom just as he rounded the corner
headed towards the bays in the back.
The plan to be at the Pilot Knob RV Park in Winterhaven, CA did not work out today. So we pulled back into Roadrunner BLM for the night. Not our usual type of spot we are near the entrance and the road. There are more and more RV's coming in here every day and compared to were we where it is crowded. For one night it is a nice spot. It is surprisingly quiet now that the darkness has descended upon us.

The sun peeked out between the clouds and we thought
this would be the most we would see of it as it made
its descent towards the mountains tonight.

Then there it was shining just below the clouds

as it left our day and slipped behind the mountains.

I could see a little color to the North of us

and towards the east.

There was a dark golden/orange glow in the clouds
where the sun had left and

off a little to the south.

It really is great to finally have a new refrigerator to replace the one that quit working. It was a bit of a struggle to get it taken care of but Norcold did come through in the end.  RV Lifestyles came through, also. The owner, James, had promised that the day after the refrigerator arrived he would schedule us in for it to be installed. True to his word it arrived yesterday afternoon and our appointment was at 8 o'clock this morning. I may have said that in the last blog post but it worth repeating. We were out the door with a working fridge at around 1:45 then I noticed the door was not clicking shut. We called and they said come on back. It took an additional 30 minutes but it is now working and we are "happy campers".

This the 3rd time we have had them take care of a problem for us and all three times we have been happy with the customer service and the job itself. We would not hesitate to go back and have work done there if we needed to. Nor would we hesitate to recommend them if asked.

I am not sure we would praise Norcold's customer service but like I mentioned above they did come through and send us a new refrigerator and we certainly are  happy about that. (Plus, I will say I did talk to one woman, Laurie, at the customer service number that was extremely helpful. After talking with her we new we would be helped.)  There were several frustrating calls that took place and we were not impressed with the time it took for calls to be returned. Though there were apologizes each time about how long it took. Would we buy another Norcold product after this experience? We are not sure that we would. One thing we have learned in life though is never say never. For now we will be happy with the end results.

We are so glad you stopped by!
If you have time to leave a comment we would enjoy hearing from you.

  2. Yeah finally a new fridge. We replaced Norcold a few years ago in Deston Florida , with a Dometic and love it, The domestic was in stock and less money installed the next day. Jame and his crew at Rv lifestyles sure do know customer service and we have had quite a few things taken care of quick easy and reasonable, the best Rv place we have been to anywhere right up there with Discount Solar.

  3. Yahoo!!!! I'm sure glad that's out of your way! Hopefully it works for many years to come. Another gorgeous sunset in Q. It's funny, every time I stayed there, everyone was quiet as a mouse. It was only the generators at 5 am that bothered people.

    1. Working for many years would be a good thing...lol
We would not be happy with people who would start running there generator at 5am, unless that was about some medical emergency thing. Nothing like being some place parked away from the semis running all night to have the RV next to you run their generator all night.

  8. I bet you are relieved to finally have a working fridge again and can shop for the food you want to eat and not what can be kept without cooling. Norcold had its problems and recalls on some of their models so it is presumed they fixed what caused the issues. Hopefully you are good with it for a long time.
